The Festival is a unique project that has no parallel in the world. It combines colourful festivities and a scientific seminar with preparations that last for a year. Besides catwalk shows and a gala-show, the programme of the three-day event, which will take place on May 9-11, includes a contest of models and schemes, a scientific conference dedicated to the peculiarities of designing and making children’s clothes, an exhibition of national toys as well as various nominations representing collections of famous professional and beginning Uzbek designers – students of Tashkent Textile and Light Industry, Bekhzod National Institute of Arts and Design as well as lyceum and college students.
The large-scale work resulted in collections from over 50 designers and fashion designers among which are models made in national and sports styles, clothes for pregnant women and school uniforms, unusual costumes in the avant-garde style. The best of them will be presented in special nominations that divided the main catwalk show into thematic divisions.
Given that this year was named a Year of Harmoniously Developed Generation, special attention will be paid to the theme development of children’s sports. Tailored collections will be demonstrated by young gymnasts of Forum Junior Sport Complex. In addition, collection shows will be available for kurash wrestlers, wu-shu athletes, gymnast and other athletes. Young talents from children’s creativity centres and fashion schools will also participate as models.
Besides, young scientists, post graduate students and master’s degree course students will give speeches during the scientific conference dedicated to issues related to the improvement of children’s clothes designing.
Annually, the Festival discovers new names among fashion designers and young models, and contributes to the expansion of contacts among the creators and producers of children’s clothes as well as the development of this direction as a whole.
