BLM letter to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris: you owe us

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In a letter sent to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris after the announcement of their victory, co-founder of Black Lives Matter P. Callors stated that they will have to pay for support from the crowd, TownHall (USA) reports.

Black Lives Matter is a social movement founded in 2013 that campaigns against racism and violence against blacks, especially police violence. The movement is a decentralized bottom-up initiative, its activists organize events on the ground and have especially proved their worth during the summer protests in the United States and on the eve of the 2020 presidential election.

The BLM leader, after congratulating, noted that "the unbearable conditions facing blacks in America" will not disappear overnight and asked for a meeting "to discuss the expectations that we place on your administration and the commitments that need to be made to blacks."

“Without the loud support of blacks, we would have had a completely different election outcome,” she wrote on behalf of the global BLM network. “In short, blacks won the elections. Along with black-led organizations across the country, Black Lives Matter have invested heavily in this election. Our efforts to ensure electoral justice reached over 60 million voters.”

P. Callors asked that the voice of the movement be heard and their agenda prioritized.

"We are voicing these expectations not only because black people are the most reliable voters of Democrats, but also because black people do live in crisis in a country built on our submission."

She concluded by reminding Joe Biden and Kamala Harris of their involvement in the pursuit of blacks - supporting the 1994 Crime Bill and as prosecutor as California attorney. "The best way to make sure you correct past mistakes and strive for a fairer future for blacks is to follow guidance from black grassroots organizers."
