Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the 15th International Exhibition of Leather, footwear, Haberdashery, fur, wool and localized products UzCharmExpo-Eurasia-2023, meetings and negotiations are held in the association "Uzcharmsanoat". Another dialogue took place between the Chairman of the Association Fahriddin Boboev and the managing director of the German company BERKEMANN Thomas Bauerfeind. 

For reference, BERKEMANN is a global manufacturer with more than 135 years of experience in the production of comfortable orthopedic shoes of high quality using the most modern technologies and materials.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the details of the project to organize the production of branded shoes in Uzbekistan. According to the representative of the head of the German company, before the pandemic, the company had production facilities in about 25 countries. Now the company produces its products at factories in Hungary and Croatia. Meanwhile, the company focuses on the organization of production in Uzbekistan. 

Convenient logistics, sufficient raw materials, qualified personnel and developed production infrastructure, all-round state support make Uzbekistan attractive for the German manufacturer. 

At the first stage, the company plans to master the production of shoe blanks here, and subsequently produce ready-made shoes. BERKEMANN’s goal is to produce as many products as possible. Now the German side is looking for a reliable partner from Uzbekistan. 

For this purpose, business tours to enterprises, as well as B2B negotiations with Uzbek manufacturers will be organized within the framework of the exhibition. 

The Association will assist the company at all stages of the project implementation. The parties agreed to organize another business mission of the German manufacturer to Uzbekistan within 2 months.
