Benefits and preferences for hotels to be prolonged

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 December, the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Aziz Abdukhakimov met with the management and members of the Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan, general managers and owners of the largest hotels in Tashkent, at the Hilton hotel.

During the meeting, the chairman of the Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan, Farangiz Abdullaeva, raised the issue of prolonging benefits and preferences for hotels until June 2021 in order to support the hospitality industry and not cut jobs.

During the conversation, the leading hoteliers of the republic shared their suggestions and views on work in the post-crisis period. Especially on the PR of safe tourism, as one of the most important components of travel in the new realities.

A proposal was made to improve the certification system for accommodation facilities, based on international experience, since the question of a single standard of sanitary norms and rules for the hospitality sector was still open.

As a result of the meeting, decisions were made to prolong benefits and preferences for hotels until the end of 2021, as well as to approve a vector for adopting a single standard of sanitary norms and rules, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism reports.
