Pravda Vostoka reported that the capacity of new line will be 2,500 tonnes per day, which will boost production of cementing products. The report said the plant plans to produce 860,000 tonnes of cement in 2008.

Bekabadcement is the oldest cement producers of Uzbekistan. Bekabadcement was opened in 1927 and last reconstructed in the mid- 1970s. According to Uzstroymateriali, Bekabadcement can produce 714,000 tonnes of cement and 666,000 tonnes of clinker per year, as well as 66 million plates of сorrugated asbestos board per annum.
