Beeline Uzbekistan customers make 36 million calls on New Year’s Eve

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Traffic is growing, but SMS are not losing ground: Beeline Uzbekistan counted customer activity on New Year’s Eve. So, on New Year’s Eve, residents of Uzbekistan actively exchanged SMS. In the operator’s network on the night of 31 December to 1 January, 22.8 million messages were sent, which is only 14% less than a year ago.

Residents of Uzbekistan keep traditions: in the New Year they actively called and sent messages. So, during the holidays from 31 December 2022 to 3 January 2023, the total number of calls exceeded 280 million, the duration of calls was 575 million minutes. According to Beeline Uzbekistan, SMS began to be sent less, but not by much: 138 million messages over the holidays compared to 151.9 million a year earlier.

- Traditionally, our clients are very active on New Year’s Eve, and this year is no exception. We calculated that from 18:00 on December 31 to 05:00 on January 1, 36.1 million calls were made in the network, 22.8 million SMS messages were sent and more than 1 million GB were “pumped”, - said Maxim, Commercial Director of Beeline Uzbekistan Efremov. – In order to withstand the load and give each user of the Beeline Uzbekistan network an opportunity to congratulate relatives and friends on the New Year, our technical specialists expand the network capacity during the holidays and switch to an enhanced mode of operation.

The total volume of traffic used by the digital operator’s clients from 31 December 2022 to 3 January 2023 is growing. On holidays, Beeline Uzbekistan network users actively communicated with relatives and friends, watched photos and videos, and shared their New Year mood. As a result, the volume of traffic that the digital operator’s clients "pumped" during the holidays amounted to 8.5 Pt. This is almost 75% more than on New Year’s holidays a year ago, and on New Year’s Eve itself, data transfer increased by 77%.
