Beeline to launch 900 new base stations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Largest communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) is planning to launch up to 900 new base stations across Uzbekistan.

Andrei Safronyuk, director-general of Unitel, in his interview to magazine infoCOM.UZ said that due to constructive dialogue with the regulator, the company started to receive necessary permissions to launch base stations from November.

He said that these documents will allow to launch 900 new base stations across Uzbekistan, which will improve the quality of communication services. At the same time, he added that after launch of the stations, the company will configure network and there could be short disruptions.

He said that it is impossible to avoid disruptions during modernization of the network, but it will help to improve quality of the services. For example, he said that the operator was able to launch 3G network in Syrdarya region.

Andrei Safronyuk underlined that the company will continue work on developing network and focus on expansion of coverage area in 2014.
