The operator said the number of people, who want to communicate with relatives, traditionally increases in holidays and pick load falls to the first hour of the New Year. At the same time, after number of SMS with congratulations usually number of calls is growing significantly.

Anton Golikov, Technical Director of Unitel LLC, said: “December measures on preparation of network to New Year holidays allowed us successfully process maximum traffic. SMS load to the network in the first hour of 1 January grew four times compared to overall figure of 31 December, but we ensured these pick figures without interruption in the work.”
