At the same time, revenue of the communication operator rose by 6% to US$5312 million, Vimpelcom Ltd underlined.
Vimpelcom said that its revenue in mobile communication segment rose by 8% in the reporting period to US$189 million. Revenue in fixed communication segment exceeded US$2 million. The growth rate made up 13%.
In nine months of 2014, the revenue in mobile communication segment reached US$526 million (+7) and in fixed communication segment – US$5 million (-10%).
The revenue from data transfer services made up US$34.9 million in the third quarter of 2014, growing 41.3% year-on-year.
Largest communication operator Beeline invested over US$20 million to expansion of its network in Uzbekistan in the third quarter of 2014, which fell by 69% compared to the third quarter of 2013. The figure fell from US$159 million in January-September 2013 to US$51 million in the same period of 2014 (-68%).
Index EBITDA (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan per annum grew up by 9% - to US$127 million. At the same time margin of transactions grew by 0.5 percentage points to 66.5%.
In nine months of 2014, the figure made up US$346 million (+6%) and 65.1% (-0.2 percentage points) respectively.
Beeline subscriber base in Uzbekistan by the results of the third quarter amounted to 10.5 million people, which rose by 2%. The company said that over 5.4 million people used USB-modems in the third quarter of 2014, which grew by 1.88% year-on-year.
Average bill for a mobile subscriber per month (ARPU) rose from $5.6 in the third quarter of 2013 to US$6 in the same period of 2014. Indicator MOU (minutes of use) reached 568 minutes in comparison with 504 one year ago.
