Subscribers’ base of MTS-Uzbekistan increased by 75,971 users in March 2007 to 1.702 million people.

In the same period, Beeline attracted 81,901 new users to its base in Uzbekistan. Total number of users made up 1.147 million, Security.uz reported quoting ACM-Consulting.

MTS-Uzbekistan holds over 50% of the Uzbek market, while Beeline’s share made up 34%. Coscom, Perfectum Mobile and Uzbektelecom Mobile share the remaining part of the market.

According to official data, over 3.4 million people use services of Uzbek mobile operators as of the end of March 2007.
