Beeline plans to introduce mobile communication at Tashkent underground
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beeline, a largest mobile communication operator in Uzbekistan, is planning to introduce mobile communication at Tashkent underground, commercial director of operator Maksim Efremov said at the press conference in Tashkent.

Maksim Efremov said that the operator has plans to introduce mobile communication at Tashkent metro, but the project should be agreed with the authorities and receive necessary permissions.

Representative of the operator did not announced terms of implementation of the project, as currently there are no concrete outlines of the project.

Beeline is the largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan in terms of subscriber’s number. Unitel CEO Vladimir Petrov said that the company’s capital expenditures reached US$79 million.

Petrov said that subscribers started to talk more in 2014. He said that revenue from mobile internet rose by over 30%, which shows that load of network rose significantly. He said that investments at the size of US$79 million helped to cope with such load. Petrov added that the operator will focus on further improving quality of services in 2015.
