Beeline plans to increase number of basic stations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Single communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) is planning to commission new basic stations by the end of 2012, which will significantly improve quality of mobile communication service.

During the press-conference in Tashkent, Unitel technical director Denis Kotlyarenko said that subscriber base significantly grew in the third quarter of 2012. According to the company, subscribers base of Beeline rose by 2.198 million or 31% - to 9.229 million in the third quarter of 2012.

Denis Kotlyarenko stated that the subscriber base of the operator is continuing to grow, which can be seen by the systems and daily sales of the company. He added that Beeline needs work on increasing capacity and improving service quality.

He said that the growth of subscriber base created load to voice communication and data transfer service.

Kotlyarenko underlined that Beeline is continuing to work on purchase and installation of additional equipment to improve quality service. He said that currently, the state commission is considering about several hundreds of basic stations, which will be commissioned after receiving all permission documents.

The mobile communication operator is planning to commission about 200 basic stations by the end of 2012 and submit 100 basic stations to the state commission for consideration.

According to the company, it invested about US$20 million to purchase additional equipment in the third quarter. Currently, the company is working on launch of these basic stations and soon the quality of service will increase.
