Beeline launches Make Your Mark initiative in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beeline, a largest communication operator in Uzbekistan, launched a global social initiative of Vimplecom “Make Your Mark” in Uzbekistan.

VimpelCom Ltd., a leading global provider of telecommunications services operating in 14 countries and headquartered in Amsterdam, announced the launch of its ‘Make Your Mark’ initiative in December 2014. ‘Make Your Mark’ is a key element of VimpelCom’s corporate responsibility strategy, with the objective of ‘Helping young people shape their future’.

‘Make Your Mark’ has three main elements:

- Helping young people who have little access to quality education to improve their life chances – helping themselves and their communities by shaping a better future. Mobilink’s award-winning mobile literacy project is an example of what can be achieved.

- Supporting young entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life as new digital businesses, leveraging mobile technology – helping themselves, their communities and helping to drive growth in the broader economy. In Italy, WIND Business Factor shows what is possible.

- Inspiring young people to use their energy, creativity and business ideas to address society’s challenges, creating ‘services for society’ (such as in the areas of healthcare, education, financial services and agriculture) while shaping a more sustainable future for themselves, their communities and society as a whole.

“Third generation”, an external training programme of Beeline, which was announced this week, became the starting project of “Make Your Mark” in Uzbekistan.

The project’s participants will be able to have practice in the following departments of “Beeline”: commercial department, Department of Information Technology, HR & OD Department and legal department. Applications and resumes are submitted by students of III and IV courses with good academic performance to the email address graduate@beeline.uz.

Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development of Unitel LLC Ekaterina Agandzhanova said: "In the coming days, our experts will conduct a series of presentations at several universities, but I want to emphasize that participation is open to students in related disciplines from any of the universities. As before, each trainee has a chance to stay and work in “Beeline” - I think it is this ability to build a career in the largest innovative companies and attracts hundreds of students".

Invitation for students to participate in the qualifying stages of the program have already received Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, Westminster International University in Tashkent, Tashkent State University of Information Technology and Moscow State University Named after M. V. Lomonosov Tashkent Branch.

By the end of the internship the most successful students will be offered an individual schedule, combined with study, and in the future - a permanent employee of “Beeline”. Internship within the "Third Generation" is scheduled for the period June-August 2015.

Ekaterina Agandzhanova said that within the Third Generation Programmme, about 80 students underwent internship in 2009-2014, while 27 of them got jobs in Beeline.

Oraz Abdurazakov, head of PR service of Beeline, said that the Third Generation Programme is the first project within Make Your Mark initiative. He added that the operator will announce new projects within the initiative soon.
