Beeline has been recognized as the leader in mobile internet speed in Uzbekistan by Ookla

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beeline Uzbekistan has received three Ookla® Speedtest Awards™ as the best mobile network, the fastest mobile network and the mobile network with the best coverage all at once from the global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence, testing applications and related technologies.

Well-known Speedtest® by Ookla®, measuring the speed of the Internet access in mobile and broadband networks, based on consumer-initiated tests, has published the rating of the mobile network speed and coverage in Uzbekistan based on the results of the 1st half of 2021. Speed is measured by users on their smartphones across Uzbekistan. This allows to obtain the most complete and objective data. Ookla, the global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence, testing applications and related technologies, compared more than 160 thousand user-initiated tests conducted in Speedtest® to determine the fastest mobile network in Uzbekistan.

Speedtest® results is a weighty acknowledgement of Beeline Uzbekistan’s positions, achieved thanks to company’s continuous tedious work towards the 4G launch in all regions of the country.

The number of Beeline Uzbekistan data users is constantly increasing. In response to this trend, company offers new services for digital users. High speed of mobile internet allows users to watch videos online and use high quality videocommunication, quickly upload large files, employ cloud services for business. Beeline customers not only use high-speed mobile internet for their needs, but can also share traffic from their smartphone with friends and relatives.

Currently, the median download speed in Beeline network is 17.7 Mbps, upload speed is 9.12 Mbps. Such indicators are the result of the vigorous development of the network: since the start of this year alone company’s technical team launched and modernized over 1300 base stations, more than 870 of which are 4G base stations. Particular emphasis is being given to provide people, living in hard-to-reach locations, with the network, for this purpose over 50 base stations were launched from the beginning of the year. Most of base stations were built in Fergana valley – over 600, which stands at 47% of the annual plan, and in Tashkent and Tashkent region (280 base stations – 21%). This is because these regions undergo active development both economical and industrial and have high population density, which requires special attention in telecommunications network development. 4G traffic has grown 2.25 times based on July’s results, and average speed per customer has increased 1.5 times. At the same time, 80% of data traffic comes from 4G network.
