The agreement on voice roaming was inked with Indosat (Indonesia), Vodafone (Malta), Mobfone (Vietnam), Togocell (Togo) and Djibouti Telecom (Djibouti).
Unitel technical director Anton Golikov said: “We are continuing to expand communication borders, so our clients can feel themselves comfortably during their travels. They can be sure that they will have access to communication and Internet.”
The operator said that GPRS roaming is now available at the networks of Cosmote (Greece), Orange (Spain), Telenor (Pakistan), Taiwan Mobile (Taiwan) and Digicel (El Salvador). The agreements on CAMEL roaming were signed with Nawras (Oman) and Globe Telecom (Philippines).
CAMEL roaming allows to use Beeline communication services at any positive balance, in other words without guarantee fee of US$50 and till the balance of subscriber reaches US$0. At the same time, the funds will be written off in real time regime. CAMEL roaming does not requires activation and it is automatically enabled in handsets. The service can use any individual subscribers, connected to pre-paid tariffs at any positive balance.
