Starting its activity in Uzbekistan, social responsibility and charity became integral part of operations of Beeline. Beeline supports such activities as sport, education, culture and humanitarian campaigns directed at supporting children, veterans and people with disabilities. So, the operator organized solemn reception for World War Two veterans on the Day of Memory and Honour (9 May).
General director of Unitel Andrei Safronuyuk said: “Uzbekistan achieved serious sport achievements in last several months. Our football players reached quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup and we are proud with our contribution to victories of Uzbekistan in sport, sponsoring Fund for Development of Children Sport. Such spectacle events as chess match between Rustam Kasimdzhanov and Viswanathan Anand are possible thanks to Uzbekistan Chess Federation, which we also support.”
Currently, the operator is holding charity marathon “Mobile internet for all”, which offers to connect computer classes of rural schools, boarding school and Mercy Houses to Internet with help of Beeline USB modem.
