BCG opens an office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Boston Consulting Group (BGC), the global management consulting company opens an office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as part of its long-term development strategy in the Central Asia and Caspian region.

BCG has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2017. During this time, the company has implemented a number of projects for key sectors of the country - mining, oil and gas, chemical, transport and logistics, agriculture - as well as for the public sector. BCG’s global expertise, complemented by knowledge of country markets, allows us to develop and implement optimal solutions tailored to each client in the field of strategic development, operational efficiency, digitalization, ESG, organizational development and business transformation in general.

In addition, in each of the countries of BCG presence, significant attention is paid to initiatives that help respond to the most difficult challenges for society and the state. In particular, it could be the preparation of studies that leaders can use as an analytical rationale for decision making. Thus, in two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019, BCG published two reports, titled Investing in Central Asia: One region – many opportunities, and Uzbekistan: Window of Opportunity respectively.

Rza Nuriev, Head of BCG Tashkent, BCG Managing Director and Partner, said: “We have been working in Uzbekistan for more than five years. The country is going through a complex transformation, developing at a rapid pace and changing before our eyes, and we are thrilled to be a part of these changes. I am confident that Uzbekistan, with its long-term focus, targeted investment in the social sphere, infrastructure and sustainable development, will become one of the most competitive countries in the region in the coming decades.

The opening of an office in Tashkent means that we now have a full-fledged hub for drawing on both global BCG expertise and local competencies. We are planning a rapid expansion of the office and are actively looking for talent to join our team in Tashkent. These range from fresh graduates to seasoned professionals interested in a career in management consulting.”
