Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Indonesian airline Batik Air plans to connect Kuala Lumpur and Tashkent with direct flights from the end of October 2023. 

It is planned that regular flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Tashkent-Kuala Lumpur route will be operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a frequency of up to three times a week.

This intention was expressed by representatives of the airline during negotiations with Uzbekistan Airports with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, the Ministry of Transport and the management company of the Samarkand airport.

Batik Air is an Indonesian airline headquartered in Jakarta that provides scheduled passenger flights within Indonesia. It is a subsidiary of low cost carrier Lion Air.
