The bas-relief is installed on Makhtumkuli Street. The street named after Makhtumkuli was opened in Tashkent city earlier in 2017.

Officials, representatives of the public and cultural figures, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps took part in the solemn ceremony.

The ceremony participants laid flowers at the foot of the monument with the bas-relief of Makhtumkuli.

It should be noted that the bas-relief was opened on the eve of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan.
