According to Sport.es, Andrés Iniesta and Carles Puyol will be the next two Barça superstars to fly out to the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.

The city’s local club PFC Kuruvchi, who finished the 2007 Uzbek League as runners-up, currently have a working partnership with FC Barcelona. As such, the Catalan giants have agreed to send Iniesta and Puyol as ambassadors to represent the club.

They will arrive in Tashkent on Monday where they will be involved in several activities, namely to run a coaching clinic in a bid to help develop and raise the profile of the game in Uzbekistan. The duo will soon be joined by Euro 2008 MVP, Xavi.

As for Barcelona, they will kick off their pre-season campaign with friendlies against Scottish sides Hibernian (24th July) and Dundee Utd. (26th July) before taking on Serie A outfit Fiorentina on the 30th of July.
