Banks to pay attention to citizens’ addresses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan hosted a practical seminar with the participants of the heads of commercial banks and responsible persons.

The seminar participants discussed measures, realized in the banking system, to execute actual tasks, outlined by the Uzbek President Islam Karimov on 16 March at the session of Deputies Council of Tashkent city.

In recent years, Uzbekistan pays attention to increasing role and share of small and private businesses in economy of Uzbekistan, ensure employment of population and increase their income through crediting businesses. In the result of implementation of the resolutions of the government and president on financial support of small and private businesses, the commercial increased financing of businesses.

In particular, the loans, issued to small and private businesses, increased by 1.5 times year-on-year in 2011 to 4.041 trillion soums.

The banks allocated loans to graduates of colleges to finance their business activities. They issued 25.6 billion soums to this purpose, which rose by 3.2 times. The volume of loans issued to development of family business and craftsmanship in rural areas made up 54.1 billion soums, which rose 1.8 times.

In line with the State programme “The Year of Family”, the commercial banks will issue 4.377 trillion soums in 2012. Major part of the resources will be directed to establishment of businesses of young people, expand service, development women entrepreneurship, etc.

During the seminar, it was noted that the heads of commercial banks should pay attention to addresses of the citizens. It was noted that each address or letter shows need, requests and mood of people.

It was underlined that number of addresses of citizens to the banking system is decreasing, which is connected with improvement of their work and dialogue among banks and businesses.
