The Central Bank said that the state programme envisaged that the banks will issue loans for 1.81 trillion soums in 2014.

The Uzbek bank directed 960.2 billion soums to support women entrepreneurship in 2014, which is 1.6 times higher compared to the figure, stipulated in the state programme. The loans were issued to support small enterprises, where mainly work women.

The banks participated in the contest “The best project of 2014” and the authors of 50 socially important projects received gifts and soft loans for 3.5 billion soums.

The commercial banks also financed projects of college graduates. They allocated 200.9 billion soums to these projects, which is 1.7 times higher compared to the planned volume.

In order to improve domestic conditions, the banks issued 57.3 billion soums of consumer loans to purchase electronics of local production.

The Uzbek banks financed construction of 11,000 houses on standard projects. They issued over 2.3 trillion soums to construction of these houses. The banks allotted 234.8 billion soums of mortgage credits to purchase, construction and reconstruction of habitation.
