Bank Samarkand approves its charter capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Open joint-stock commercial bank Samarkand approved its charter capital at the size of 15.12 billion soums at its shareholders’ meeting.

The bank said its shareholders also approved the number of issued ordinary shares for 302,355 units and preferential shares - 50 units.

Shareholders also determined the maximum size of announced ordinary shares, which the bank can issue, at the amount of 97,595 shares or 4.879 billion soums.

Bank Samarkand was created in December 2000. It was re-organized into Open joint-stock commercial bank. The paid authorized capital of the bank is 13.871 billion soums.

As of 1 December 2009, total assets of the bank made up 20.423 billion soums and loan portfolio - 2.567 billion soums. The own capital reached 17.751 billion soums. Balance on deposits made up 3.577 billion soums.

Net income of the bank comprised 307.06 million soums. The bank said it serves over 603 legal entities and 469 individuals.
