Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 January 2024, artistic ensembles and troupes of the interstate New Year gala concert “Sounds of Spring - Golden Dream” arrived at the Bangladesh Academy of Arts in Dhaka, and together with local performers held an art concert, where Chinese the red and gold colors complemented each other, symbolizing the dreams of the two peoples.

The gala concert is a vital part of a series of cultural exchanges as part of the 2024 spring festival “Voice of Spring. "Golden Dream" was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, the Yunnan Provincial Government Press Office and the Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Department. More than a thousand people watched the broadcast, including local residents, representatives of the Chinese diaspora and employees of Chinese companies.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen said in his speech that public opinion survey results show that more than 60% of respondents in Bangladesh have a positive impression of China, and more than 90% believe that China and Bangladesh enjoy good relations.

Cooperation between China and Bangladesh under the Belt and Road Initiative has brought positive changes to the socio-economic development of Bangladesh, and more and more people in the country are expressing their desire to learn about and visit China. Bilateral relations are sincerely supported by the people of both countries. The Ambassador expressed confidence that the friendship between China and Bangladesh will take deeper roots in people’s hearts.

Dipu Moni, Minister of Social Welfare of Bangladesh, praised the Belt and Road Initiative and said that 2023 will be a fruitful year for cooperation between the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative. Thus, 14 major infrastructure projects have already been completed or are in the process of implementation. At the same time, cultural exchange between the two countries is flourishing, contributing to their continued development.
