Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Rebeca Grynspan.

The minister and the Secretary-General discussed a wide range of issues related to international trade, attracting foreign investment, supporting sustainable economic growth, and the role of UNCTAD in promoting economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and other countries.

Special attention was given to enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbek products in global markets, facilitating Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and attracting investments into promising sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.

"We discussed expanding our cooperation with UNCTAD, focusing on investment policy, foreign trade, sustainable economic growth, support in the WTO accession process, and more. We agreed to continue active collaboration in many promising areas," the Foreign Minister noted on his Telegram channel.
