Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the UN Headquarters.

The meeting covered a wide range of issues related to international security, sustainable development, human rights, and promoting peaceful and lasting solutions to conflicts. Special attention was given to combating terrorism, extremism, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

With the help of the UN, Uzbekistan is implementing various projects in education, healthcare, agriculture, and environmental protection. We greatly value the ongoing support of the UN Secretariat and its agencies, which are assisting with comprehensive reform programs in Uzbekistan," the Foreign Minister stated.

This meeting with the UN Secretary-General is a significant event for Uzbekistan, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and actively engaging in addressing global challenges. It is expected to be an important step in deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN while enhancing Uzbekistan’s international standing.
