Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 July 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with the UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan Feridun Sinirlioglu.

The parties discussed topical issues of dynamically developing relations, the implementation of joint programs, prospects for intensifying political dialogue, trade and investment ties, cultural, humanitarian and tourist exchanges.

“We are glad to meet with the UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan Feridun Sinirlioglu,” the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. We discussed the current situation in the country, as well as initiatives put forward in the Afghan direction. Undoubtedly, like other countries, Uzbekistan is most interested in the prosperity of Afghanistan.”
