Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Every year, National Federations and Associations for new sports are created in Uzbekistan. The ceremony of electing the new head of the Polo Federation of Uzbekistan, which opened a few days ago, took place at the Westminster International University in Tashkent.

The event was hosted by the Secretary General of the NOC of Uzbekistan, Oybek Kasymov. At the beginning of his speech, Oybek Omilovich introduced the agenda. After that, the participants began to consider the first issue - the election of a new chairman. The candidacy of the Chairman of the Federation of Modern Pentathlon of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Gaziev was proposed for the post of chairman. The participants unanimously supported B. Gaziev’s candidacy and he was elected to the post of Chairman of the Polo Federation of Uzbekistan.

During the event, Bakhromjon Valievich made a speech and expressed his opinion.

“I am very glad that I was elected to such a responsible position, it is an honor for me. I am clearly aware of all the responsibility that is imposed on my shoulders. At the head of our esteemed President, a lot of work is being done to develop the sports sector. During the reign of the Timurid dynasty, our ancestors loved to play this game and now it is time to revive. Of course, for this we will closely cooperate with the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the International Polo Federation and other organizations,” Bakhromjon Gaziev noted.

During the event, the vice-president of the NOC, the first deputy chairman of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan Saken Polatov also spoke and wished success in the activities of the new organization.
