Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Akhmedov met with the Head of the UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan Krista Pikkat on 15 July, the press service of the Uzbek ministry said.

During the negotiations, the sides discussed current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNESCO and exchange information on objects, included to UNESCO list of the tangible and intangible heritage sites.

Bakhodir Akhmedov and Krista Pikkat also considered issues of preparation to the festival “Sharq Taronalari”, which will be held in Samarkand on 25-30 August 2015.
