Aznur Travel launches first excursion double-decker buses in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tourism company Aznur Travel launched the first excursion double-decker buses in Tashkent, the company said on its website.

Tourism company received the first party of two buses of Higer brand. The buses were received from Shanghai (China).

It added that after all necessary procedures and changing external appearance, the buses will render services to guests and citizens of Tashkent city.

Director of Aznur Travel Ulugbek Nurmatov said that the buses will run on special route, which will cover eight historic sights of Tashkent as envisaged in the programme for tourism development in Tashkent.

He said that the goal of the company is to raise of quality of services for tourists in Tashkent like in London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and others. He said that everything is ready to launch of buses and final version of audio-tour should be recorded. The audio-tour will be in eight languages – English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Uzbek, he added.

Ulugbek Nurmatov said that Higer developed the buses especially for Tashkent to meet local standards on height, for example. He said that the height of buses in Europe is 4.3-4.4 meters, but legislative base in Uzbekistan does not allow to have buses with height over 4 meters, Gazeta.uz reported.

He noted that the buses can be used in all season. It will be warm in winter and cool in summer Nurmatov added.

Director of Aznur Travel said that the company is planning to increase number of double-decker buses to 15 and number of routes to three. He said that the company will receive two more double-decker buses in March-April.

The prices for tickets are affordable both for foreigners and citizens of Uzbekistan. There is also tickets for children. The buses will have Wi-Fi and work 24 hours. The tickets can be purchased at company and bus stations.

The buses will run on set schedules. The route and time will be agreed with Department on licensing and coordinating movement of passenger transport of Tashkent city, Road Traffic Police of Tashkent and Uzbektourism.

Ulugbek Nurmatov said that if the project is demanded, there are plans to purchase such buses for Samarkand and Bukhara.
