Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan Yusuf al-Otaibi.

The main issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agriculture between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that mutual trade is growing from year to year, despite the great distance between the countries.

It was noted that during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a number of agreements were reached in the agricultural sector. During these negotiations, cooperation between the ministries of agriculture was strengthened through the Memorandum.

At the meeting, it was noted that work is underway to create a joint working group and hold its 1st meeting in order to implement the tasks set for the development of cooperation. It is planned to organize online meetings with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture of Saudi Arabia and carry out mutual visits.

At the end of the conversation with Ambassador Yusuf al-Otaibi, Aziz Voitov said that the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to work more closely with Saudi Arabia than ever and make new proposals for cooperation.
