Aziz Abdukhakimov: Jeyran nursery will be able to receive about 20,000 tourists a year

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A working group led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov visited the Jeyran nursery in Bukhara region and checked the readiness of the facility for the tourist season.

“The head of our state pays great attention to the development of domestic tourism, and at yesterday’s meeting a number of instructions on the development of tourism, including ecotourism, were given. Together with experts from the State Committee for Tourism Development and the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, we visited the Jeyran Nursery and studied its tourism potential.

There are many opportunities in a specialized reserve, where a modern visit center, observation tower and museum are created that meet international standards. In order to create all the amenities for visitors, detailed information about the scientific research conducted in the nursery and its history will be provided. A line of special souvenirs related to gazelles, as well as company stores, will be presented.

A cafe will also be organized so that people who visit the reserve can eat. In order to make it more convenient for foreign and local tourists, the reserve will be equipped with the necessary equipment: two cars and two ATVs, live cameras, as well as photo traps for tourists who like to take pictures, said Aziz Abdukhakimov.

Also, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, it is planned to create several viewing platforms and a special route along them in the nursery. This will allow you to observe the animals in the reserve from morning to evening. In addition, a special site will be created to promote the reserve as a tourist destination, where virtual and 3D tours will be organized. Naturally, many will be interested in introducing a naming system for rare animals born in the ecotourism zone through online voting on the Internet.

“It should be noted that a special program is being developed to organize excursions for schoolchildren, students of academic colleges and lyceums, and students of higher educational institutions of all regions to the Jeyran nursery in the Bukhara region.

Based on this program, planned visits by pupils and students are carried out. At the same time, special tours at low prices will be developed for representatives of makhallas and labor communities of Bukhara and other regions. Based on extensive scientific work in the nursery, we agreed with the State Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection - to hold international conferences and scientific conferences with the participation of foreign scientists every year, Aziz Abdukhakimov added.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister invited everyone to visit the Jeyran kennel and get acquainted with the life of rare animals. It is important to note that as a result of all of the above, the Jeyran nursery will be able to receive about 20,000 tourists a year.

The Jeyran Nature Reserve was created in 1977 and is located in the southwest of the Kyzylkum desert, 42 km from Bukhara. Area - 16.5 thousand ha. Its activities are aimed at breeding rare endangered species of gazelles. There are other species of animals and plants in the reserve, including those listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan and the International Red Book.
