Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chinese automotive brand NETA has officially entered the Uzbekistan market. The brand was presented in Tashkent on 8 October.
Under the close watch of Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Industry Samugha, former Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China Mirakadir, Chairman of the China-Uzbekistan Trade Association Dou Fengfu, and many other industry representatives, government officials, and partners, the NETA X showcased its unique external energy supply function, symbolizing the vast potential of Uzbekistan’s electric vehicle market. With the deepening of the "Belt and Road" initiative, NETA AUTO has chosen this location for its launch to help Uzbekistan quickly integrate into the global green economy.
NETA AUTO is a subsidiary brand of Hozon New Energy Automobile Co., established in October 2014. The company has a registered capital of approximately 2.837 billion yuan and total investments exceeding 10 billion yuan. It focuses on the development, production, and sale of high-quality intelligent electric vehicles, as well as providing software services.

During the ceremony in Tashkent, the start of NETA vehicle sales in the country was announced.
Wilson Sun, Vice President of International Business at NETA AUTO, noted that the company has been working with international markets for only two years, and the Central Asian market is a priority for them.
He stated that Uzbekistan is a key point in the region from which NETA AUTO plans to expand to other Central Asian markets.
The company has conducted annual market research in Uzbekistan to assess demand for its models.
Wilson Sun emphasized that successful operations in Uzbekistan will be crucial for the brand’s success in neighboring countries.
He mentioned that the NETA X model will be launched first in Uzbekistan, followed by other models such as NETA AYA, NETA GT, and NETA S.
"We intend to introduce all our global models in Uzbekistan," said the NETA vice president.
Sun also spoke about the brand’s plans to become a local player in the Uzbekistan market by starting vehicle production in the country.
"We are working with our partners to launch SKD (Semi Knocked Down) production of vehicles in Uzbekistan," he noted.
According to him, part of the production will be localized, while some components will be imported from China.
When asked why consumers should choose NETA vehicles, the company representative emphasized that the brand is youth-oriented, and its models reflect the spirit and style of the new generation.
Sun added that the design of NETA vehicles, both externally and internally, is innovative.
"Our cars are smart vehicles powered by new energy sources, and they are affordably priced. Most people will be able to afford our cars," he stressed.
Many consumers wish to purchase electric vehicles but face high costs, noted Wilson Sun.
"We use our own technologies to make our cars affordable," he added.
Moreover, NETA equips its vehicles with advanced technologies. For instance, the NETA X can be controlled via a mobile app on a smartphone, and a facial recognition system is used for security. If the system does not recognize the driver, the vehicle will not start.
The vehicles are also equipped with a voice assistant that supports English, Russian, and Uzbek languages.
NETA AUTO plans to establish several spare parts warehouses in Uzbekistan, Sun added. The main spare parts required for electric vehicles include bumpers, headlights, and other standard components.
Compared to internal combustion engine vehicles, electric vehicles have fewer breakdowns, he noted.
Authorized service centers for servicing NETA electric vehicles will be established in Uzbekistan.
During the ceremony, the NETA X electric vehicle was also introduced.
The NETA X combines reliability, comfort, and advanced technology, offering a high level of safety and convenience for both drivers and passengers.

The NETA X is equipped with a high-efficiency Tiangong battery that not only ensures a long driving range but also provides peace of mind for consumers during their journeys.
The vehicle’s construction utilizes 75% high-strength steel, guaranteeing the integrity of the body.
It features six airbags to protect passengers in the event of a collision.
Special attention has been paid to the battery, which has an IP68 protection rating that meets military standards for dust and water resistance, allowing it to withstand up to 48 hours underwater without losing insulation.
The H-EPT4.0 thermal control system ensures stable operation under any conditions.
Comfort and Space
The NETA X stands out with its spacious interior, thanks to an extended wheelbase of 2770 mm, making trips as comfortable as possible.
The interior features high-quality leather, with 80% of the surfaces covered in soft materials.
For drivers, there is wireless charging available for smartphones.
The trunk volume is 508 liters, expanding to 1388 liters with the rear seats folded down, making the vehicle a leader in its class for capacity.

Additionally, this model is equipped with a specially designed charging port for the local market that supports fast charging: from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. A full charge provides a range of up to 480 km.
