Australian Open: Shvedova and Istomin reach quarterfinals in Mixed Doubles

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin in pair with Kazakhstan’s Yaroslava Shvedova reached quarterfinals of Australian Open in Mixed Doubles.

Yaroslava Shvedova and Denis Istomin defeated Chinese Zi Yan and Mexican Santiago Gonzalez in the second round of the tournament.

The match ended in straight sets 6:2 and 6:1 in favour of Istomin and Shvedova. In the quarterfinals, they will meet Nuria Llagostera Vives and David Marrero of Spain.
