Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — English football club Aston Villa has expressed interest in collaborating with Uzbekistan in the field of football development. This was stated by Chris Heck, the club’s President of Business Development.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov met with Chris Heck to discuss the potential for establishing a partnership between the club and Uzbekistan, according to Dunyo news agency.

Chris Heck praised Uzbekistan’s efforts in sports development and congratulated Uzbek athletes on their achievements at the Paris Olympic Games.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached to organize joint events with Aston Villa football club.

Founded in 1874 in Birmingham, Aston Villa is one of the most historic and prestigious clubs in world football. The club has won the English Championship 7 times, the FA Cup 7 times, and the English League Cup 5 times. Home matches are played at Villa Park, which has a capacity of over 42,000 spectators.
