Astana to host Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  From 3 to 5 September, Astana will host the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation. The conference is organized by the Government of Kazakhstan in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

The conference will bring together state leaders, ministers, high-ranking officials, digital experts, and representatives of technology companies.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, will participate in the conference.

Participants will discuss ways to accelerate digital innovations for sustainable development and promote more inclusive digital economies and societies in the region.

One of the key goals of the event is to strengthen digital cooperation to bridge the digital divide, enhance digital connectivity, train personnel with digital skills, and increase trust and security in the digital environment.

Special attention will be given to the presentation of the ESCAP Digital Transformation Report for the Asia-Pacific Region for 2024. The report will explore the interaction between digital transformation and the climate crisis, as well as the role of digital technologies in mitigating and adapting to climate change.

The Astana conference center will serve as an active venue for plenary discussions, startup and tech innovation exhibitions, side events, networking, and the signing of memorandums.
