During the meeting, the sides signed a protocol on introducing changes to regulation on cooperation with financial institutions of the observer states under the SCO and status of the observer bank at the SCO Interbank Association”.

The meeting also elected the chairperson of the SCO Interbank Association for next period from 26 October 2011 to 25 October 2012. The association will be chaired by the China State Development Bank during this period.

The delegation of Uzbekistan was led by deputy chairperson of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan Mr. Ahmedhadjaev.

Interbank Association of the SCO focuses on supporting regional economic cooperation. It was founded on 26 October 2005. The Association unites authorized banks of the SCO member states – Kazakhstan Development Bank, Vnesheconombank (Russia), Tajikistan State Saving Bank “Amonatbonk”, National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan. In 2008, Eurasian Development Bank became partner of the Association.
