Assets of NBU exceeds 18 trln. soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
As of 1 July 2016, the assets of National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) reached 18 trillion soums, which rose by 33% year-on-year.
According to the bank, its loan portfolio reached 11 trillion soums and grew by 26% compared to the same period of 2015.
About 91% of credit portfolio fell to share of long-term investment loans, the press service of the Uzbek bank said.
In the first half of 2016, the bank provided loans for 1.3 trillion soums to small businesses, which helped to create over 5,000 new jobs.
