Assets of microcredit organizations reach 22.968 billion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 April 2012, about 32 microcredit institutions are carrying out their activities in Uzbekistan in line with the Law “On microcredit institutions”, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The total volume of assets of operating microcredit institutions made up 22.968 billion soums, the committee said.

Microleasing services rendered by microcredit institutions in January-March 2012 amounted to 59 million soums.

In January-March 2012, microcredit institutions of Uzbekistan rendered services on granting microcredits and microloans at the volume of 11.911 billion soums.

Some 11.246 billion soums of them (94.4% of total volume) were microloans to individual persons and 665 million soums (5.6%) to legal entities.
