Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 November 2018, the assets of Uzbekistan’s commercial banks made up 204.39 trillion soums, which is 28% higher compared to the same period of 2017, according to the data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
Credit investments of banks in Uzbekistan increased by 48.9% in the reporting period and amounted to 155.86 trillion soums as of 1 November 2018.
The volume of deposits as of 1 November 2018 exceeded 69.3 trillion soums, which is 19.7% higher compared to the same period of 2017.
Total capital of commercial banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 November 2018 reached 25.63 trillion soums, which is 42.9% more compared to the same period of 2017.
The National Bank of Uzbekistan (55.32 trillion soums or 27.2% of all assets of the banking sector of Uzbekistan), Asaka Bank (28.9 trillion soums or 14.1%) and Uzpromstroybank (28.76 trillion soums or 14.1%) became the leaders in terms of assets.
The same banks were leading in terms of loans. The National Bank of Uzbekistan provided loans for 43.52 trillion soums (27.9% of total loans), Uzpromstroybank - 25.52 trillion soums (16.4%) and Asaka Bank - 23.26 trillion soums (14.9%).
Top-3 leaders in terms of capital also included the National Bank of Uzbekistan (5.65 trillion soums or 22% of total capital), Asaka Bank (3.08 trillion soums or 12%) and Uzpromstroybank (2.59 trillion soums or 10.1%).
The National Bank of Uzbekistan (12.72 trillion soums or 18.4% of total deposits attracted), Asaka Bank (7.22 trillion soums or 10.4%) and Uzpromstroybank (4.61 trillion soums or 6.7 %) entered the Top-3 by volume of attracted deposits.
