Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 August 2024, the assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan totaled 711.11 trillion soums, marking a real growth of 18% compared to the same period in 2023. This data was published by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, the liabilities of commercial banks reached 605.95 trillion soums as of 1 August 2024, exceeding last year’s figure of 497.84 trillion soums.
The volume of loans as of 1 August 2024, amounted to 500.64 trillion soums, demonstrating a real growth of 13% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Deposits saw a real growth of 29% during the reporting period, reaching 275.42 trillion soums as of 1 August 2024.
The total capital of Uzbekistan’s banking sector as of 1 August 2024, stood at 105.16 trillion soums, which is 22% more compared to the same period in 2023.
