Assets of Asaka Bank makes up 5.362 trln. soums in 1Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State joint-stock commercial bank “Asaka” increased its aggregate assets by 517.7 billion soums in the first quarter and as of 1 April 2015 total assets reached 5.362 trillion soums.

According to the press service of the bank, aggregate capital of the bank rose by 117.4 billion soums – to 837.7 billion soums.

The bank actively worked to increase its clientele base. In the first quarter of 2015, the clientele base rose by 68,200 to 1.479 million.

As of 1 April 2015, the volume of loans in soum equivalent made up 2.765 trillion soums. Long-term loans reached 2.285 trillion soums, of which 1.949 trillion soums are investment loans.

The bank said that it issued long-term investment loans for 188.8 billion soums to implement president resolution “On additional measures on stimulating growth of share of long-term loans of commercial banks, directed to finance investment projects” from 28 July 2009 and “On priority directions of further reforming and improving sustainability of financial-banking system in Uzbekistan in 2011-2015 and achieve high international ratings” from 26 November 2020.

In the first quarter, the bank financed eight leasing projects for over 11.1 billion soums. Aggregate leasing portfolio of the bank as of 1 April 2015 reached 164.4 billion soums.

In the reporting period, Asaka Bank issued loans for 255.5 billion soums to small and private businesses. At the same time, the bank provided 1 billion soums loans to 132 citizens to purchase cattle. The bank also financed 35 projects for 7.8 billion soums, which were directed to increase the number of cattle.

Asaka Bank issued 12.2 billion soums of loans and leasing services to farmers purchase 373 units of agriculture equipment.

The bank noted that it allotted 5.6 billion soums to six projects directed at developing poultry in Uzbekistan.

Asaka Bank also directed 77.5 billion soums to expand production of food products and 59.9 billion soums – to non-food consumer goods in the reporting period

The commercial bank issued loans for 5.1 billion soums and mortgage loans for 15.9 billion soums.

Young families also got soft mortgage loans for 12.8 billion soums and consumer loans for 0.6 billion soums in the reporting period.

The bank also provided 1.4 billion soums to finance projects of graduates of colleges and 26.4 billion soums to support projects of businesswomen.

As of 1 April, the balance of deposits grew by 75.7 billion soums and reached 500.9 billion soums. Number of depositors rose by 70,000 to 1.448 million units.

Asaka Bank issued 1.498 million banking cards as of 1 April 2015, which grew by 159,000 units in the first quarter of 2015.

Number of installed POS-terminals hit 9,975 units, which rose by 911 units in the first three months of 2015.

As of 1 April 2015, total turnover of transactions with use of the banking payment cards reached 438 billion soums, of which 314.2 billion soums fell to share of trade points.
