Almost for 2 kilometers among the blooming hills, there spread out dance grounds for folklore ensembles, arenas for kurash, cockfighting and ram fighting, circus stages for rope walkers, yurts and food services areas for tasting pilau and shashlyk. The Festival guests had an opportunity to learn more about the cultural features of all Uzbekistan’s regions through their dances, music and costumes, as well as to watch national games and contests.
One of the brightest events was a grand march of the Festival participants: it was headed by musicians, followed by riders in national costumes, then by a caravan of camels packed with loads reminding the Great Silk Road and after them, by dancing and music ensembles from all country’s regions. The audience could see there the whole variety and wealth of the Uzbek people culture.
The Festival second day was equally colorful. The audience watched horse racing - ulok and kupkari. And, of course, nobody could not but visit the national cuisine festival which represented the whole variety of Uzbek cuisine: pilau, shsahlyk, samsa, manty, naryn and other delicious and nourishing dishes.
It should be noted that in parallel with it, different presentations and conferences dedicated to Uzbekistan architecture, also timed to the Festival were held in the Bukhara and Navoi outskirts. Not far from Bukhara the newly renovated Bibi Orif Mausoleum, built in the XVI century in honor of famous Sufi Bakhouddin Nakshbandi’s mother, was inaugurated.
