Asila Mirzayeva sets Paralympic Games record
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek athlete Asila Mirzayeva set a new Paralympic Games record in the long jump.
Competing in the T11 class in women’s para athletics, Mirzayeva jumped 5.22 meters on her first attempt, setting a new Paralympic Games record.
The previous record for the women’s T11 long jump was set at the Paralympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, where Spanish athlete Ortiz Ochistka jumped 5.07 meters.
