Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek athlete Asila Mirzayeva has once again set a new Paralympic record in the long jump.
Competing in the T11 classification for women in Paralympic athletics, Mirzayeva jumped 5.24 meters, surpassing her previous result and setting a new Paralympic Games record.
It is worth noting that in her first attempt, she jumped 5.22 meters, exceeding the previous record by 15 cm.
The former record in the women’s T11 long jump was set at the Paralympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, when Spanish athlete Ortiz Ochizqueta achieved a result of 5.07 meters.
