Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Athlete from Uzbekistan Asila Mirzayeva has won gold at the Paralympic Games in Paris.

She secured the gold medal in the women’s long jump event in the T11 class of Paralympic athletics.

During the competition, Asila Mirzayeva set two Paralympic records with jumps of 5.22 and 5.24 meters.

Asila Mirzayeva has brought the first gold medal to Uzbekistan’s delegation at the Paralympic Games in Paris.

Currently, the Uzbekistan team has won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal.

It is worth noting that at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Asila Mirzayeva won a silver medal in this discipline.
