Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 April 2025, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with Kanokpan Lao-Araya, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Resident Mission in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the progress of current and upcoming projects under ADB’s portfolio, which includes 60 projects with a total value of US$9.5 billion.

The ADB expressed its readiness to finance 12 new projects in key sectors such as education, water supply, transport, and direct support for the private sector.

Additionally, the two sides agreed on a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Uzbekistan and the ADB for the period of 2026–2028. The document outlines the implementation of 28 prospective projects worth a total of US$4.2 billion.
