Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The net profit of Asaka Bank for the first quarter of 2024 made up 65.7 billion soums, which means a decrease of 27.7% compared to the same quarter of last year, when this figure reached 90. 8 billion soums.
Interest income increased by 33.2%, reaching 1.7 trillion soums, while non-interest income decreased by 11.8%, falling to 715.6 billion soums.
Asaka Bank’s assets at the end of the first quarter of 2024 exceeded 55 trillion soums, an increase of 9.6% compared to the same period in 2023.
The bank increased its capital by 1.9% in January-March 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 6.7 trillion soums.
According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the bank’s loan portfolio increased by 3.7% and by the end of the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 38.4 trillion soums.
The share of non-performing loans (NPL) increased from 4.4% to 4.6%.
