Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Around 16,000 law enforcement officers to ensure safety during holidaysApproximately 16,000 law enforcement officers will be deployed to ensure public safety across Uzbekistan during the New Year holidays. This was announced by Muzifa Sultonova, spokesperson for the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

To support law enforcement operations, authorities have provided 7,000 communication devices, 1,000 vehicles, and 2,200 metal detectors.

Major festive events are set to take place at 240 public venues, which are expected to attract over one million visitors, according to the department.
