“Archaeological Treasures of Uzbekistan. From Alexander the Great to the Kushan Empire" opens in Berlin

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A press conference was held in Berlin today to mark the opening of the exhibition Archaeological Treasures of Uzbekistan. From Alexander the Great to the Kushan Empire.

The press conference was attended by: Hermann Parzinger, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, Matthias Wemhoff, Director of the Berlin Museum of Early History, Manfred Navrot, curator of the exhibition and Gayane Umerova, Executive Director of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan. 

In her speech, the head of the Foundation shared with foreign media the significance of the exhibition project, its preparation and contribution to the development of the country's cultural and historical heritage abroad.

After the end of the press conference between the parties, on behalf of Matthias Wemhoff and Gayane Umerova, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.

Exhibition “Archaeological Treasures of Uzbekistan. From Alexander the Great to the Kushan Empire" will open at the James Simon Gallery on 4 May 2023.
